Q Club is on Wright Street, a short walk west of King William Street. Put the address into a map app and it will bring you to the door; what follows is what to look for once you are on the street.
What you are looking for
Black painted brick, at footpath level, with a lit white Q Club sign on it and two neon signs above the door. The door itself is glass, strung with fairy lights, with a roller shutter to one side and lit poster boxes to the other.
It is a shopfront on a city street, not a building set back behind a car park, and the frontage is dark — which is why the sign and the fairy lights are the thing to watch for rather than the building. At night it is the brightest few metres on the block.
On foot and by bike
This is the city, so most people arrive on foot for the last part of it. King William Street is a few minutes east and the Central Market about the same distance away, which makes this an easy walk from most of the south-west corner of the square mile.
If you cycle, bring a lock and ask at the counter where to leave the bike.
When you arrive
Glass door under the sign, poster windows either side. The counter is at the back of the room; that is where you say whether you want Heyball or pool, and where you pay when you are done.
